Angela Lawrence
Owner / Master Designer / Master Colorist
Angela
As the owner of Local Motion Hair Design, Angela truly loves her profession. After attending Beauty College in Buffalo, New York, she received her degree and has been an active professional for over 30 years.
She accepted her first position as a stylist at Cortos Salon in Buffalo before moving to Butler, Pennsylvania in 1983. Since that move, she was a stylist at a prominent salon in Butler and then made the decision to open her own salon. As a result, Local Motion opened it’s doors in 1986.
Education and advanced training have always been an important part of Angela’s professional outlook. She has been a platform artist, cutting and styling on stage, and has educated for Paul Mitchell Systems. She has also received certifications from several schools, including The Abba Cutting Academy in Los Angeles, California, The Baltimore Academy for advanced color, perming and cutting as well as AirMakeup, Inc. in New Jersey.
Ongoing, advanced education has taken her to New York, Chicago and Las Vegas.
Stephanie
Manager / Master Designer / Color Specialist / Makeup Specialist
Stephanie
A graduate of Slippery Rock University and Butler Beauty School, Stephanie has been with Local Motion since 2003 and has an impressive list of accomplishments!
Having been certified in air brush makeup from The AirMakeup Academy in Atlantic City, New Jersey, she excels in specialty makeup for weddings.
She has trained one on one with hair color, texturizing and highlighting specialists, and has attended advanced classes in New York, Chicago and Las Vegas.
This, coupled with being a member of a Paul Mitchell Focus Salon,and receiving monthly education, has enabled Stephanie to stay focused on all of the current trends!
“I’m so honored to be a part of this family business that I have watched my parents work so hard at for so many years. My passion for hair and the continuing success of Local Motion is what drives me every day!
I consider myself very fortunate to go to work every day loving what I do! In my work life, I like to live by this quote from Stephanie Kocielski, Artistic Director for Paul Mitchell:

Stacie
Master Designer / Color Specialist / Makeup Specialist
Stacie
Stacie graduated from Pittsburgh Beauty Academy and received her license in cosmetology and makeup in September of 1991.
In October of 1991, she started her career in hairdressing at Local Motion and has been a valued stylist since that time.
Over the years, she has continued her education through cutting, texturizing and color seminars in various cities including New York, Chicago and Las Vegas.
Stacie has also attended the Baltimore Academy for advanced color, the AirMakeup Academy in New Jersey and is certified in human hair extensions.
According to Stacie, being part a of the Local Motion team, along with the solid ongoing education provided by Paul Mitchell Systems, has inspired her and enabled her to be successful in this industry.
Stacie says, “I think when a guest visits Local Motion, one of the things that make it unique and special is the fact that we really are like a family to each other. It is something that you can sense as soon as you walk into our salon. That, coupled with teamwork, is what makes Local Motion such a wonderful place to be”.
Adrien
Advanced Designer / Color Specialist / Makeup Specialist
Adrien
Not originally from Pennsylvania, Adrien began her training at Panache Academy of Beauty in Baraboo, Wisconsin.
Upon relocating to Pennsylvania, she enrolled at the Kittanning Beauty School, received her degree and began her career in hairdressing at Local Motion.
Through monthly in-salon seminars and classes, she is very skilled and knowledgeable in all aspects of our industry.
Adrien has attended numerous hands-on advanced color, highlighting, cutting and airbrush makeup classes in Orlando, New York and Las Vegas, allowing her to keep up with all of the newest trends.
Volunteer work is a very important aspect of her career and is she is proud that she’s been involved in cut-a-thons to raise money and benefit the humane society, as well as various abuse shelters in western Pennsylvania.
Adrien says, “For me personally, the best part of being in this industry is the ability to make people feel beautiful about themselves inside and out! I also realize that I have chosen the best possible career because I have the unique opportunity to make such a difference in many people’s lives!”
Courtney
Advanced Designer / Color Specialist / Makeup Specialist
Courtney
A graduate of Butler Senior High School, Courtney gained her first taste of our industry while completing courses in Cosmetology through the Vo-Tech department.
Since then, she has attended many advanced cutting, color and highlighting classes, as well as airbrush makeup and hair extension seminars to further her knowledge in the industry and her career with Local Motion.
Our monthly hands-on Paul Mitchell Focus Salon education, along with advanced career seminars in Chicago, New York and Las Vegas have all been beneficial to Courtney’s growth.
In her daily salon activities, Courtney always strives to learn all that she possibly can, making her a valued member of our team!
Local homeless and womens shelters, as well as Humane Society fundraisers, are among the organizations that she volunteers her time and talent.
Courtney says, “I truly could not imagine enjoying my career anywhere else. I’ve learned so much thanks to everyone here at Local Motion and Paul Mitchell!”
Breanne
Skin Care Specialist / Esthetician
Breanne
Breanne graduated from Butler VoTech’s School of Cosmetology and then furthered her education, majoring in Exercise Physiology at Slippery Rock University. As a result, she holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science and has extensive, hands-on experience in Cardiac Rehabilitation.
She attended and graduated with honors from the Fountain of Youth Academy of Cosmetology, focusing on Esthetics. There, she was taught a diverse array of facial and skincare regiments and specializes in customizing facials for individual skin types. She has had training in eyebrow and eyelash tinting, semi-permanent eyelash application, as well as many varieties of body waxing and holds a certification from the state of Pennsylvania in Electrology, the science of permanent hair removal.
Breanne truly loves her career path at Local Motion, as it incorporates both of her passions… the healthcare industry, as well as the beauty industry.
Bioelements is Breanne’s professional skin care line of choice. Bioelements features products with organic botanicals and natural ingredients, as well as utizilizing the best scientifically advanced high-tech ingredients, including cosmeceuticals.
Whatever skin concerns you may have, Breanne is here to help target and correct them and she looks forward to assisting you with all of your skin care needs!
